News and Meetings

LTA has planned 6 face-to-face transnational meetings. They will have a direct focus on management and implementation and will help to fine tune the activities and tasks required for the completion of every Intellectual Output (IO). The meetings will allow for a continuous communication, monitoring and quality assurance of the project activities. They will also provide an opportunity to identify potential issues and adopt remedial actions, and, whenever possible, they will be organized in conjunction with conferences and/or multiplier events (E) with a view to optimizing resources and increasing the impact and reach of the project.

Meeting 1. (September, 2018) in Milan at the 6th International Symposium on Accessibility and Live Subtitling. Organiser: SSML, SUBTI and UAB.

Aim: The consortium will come together for the first time and discuss all relevant issues related to LTA: objectives, processes and responsibilities; project management and partnership agreement; dissemination and evaluation plan, and team building. Special emphasis will be placed on undertaking actions towards defining work processes for the development of IO1 (design of relevant questionnaires and preparation of in-depth interviews) and the strategy for approaching and recruiting participants for IO1 but also for IO2 and IO4. ECQA will introduce the certification procedures and rules, and outputs. Preparation of next Multiplier event (E2).

Meeting 2. (March, 2019) in Munich. Organiser: SDI.

Aim: project management and implementation, quality, dissemination, evaluation of IO1 and development of IO2 according to ECQA. Preparation of next multiplier event. The publication of the results of IO1 will be discussed. Preparation of the next multiplier event (E3)

Meeting 3. (September 2019) in Poland at the Intermedia Conference. Organiser: UAB.

Aim: project management and implementation, quality, dissemination, evaluation of IO2 and preparation of IO3 and IO4. Preparation of next Multiplier event (E4).

Meeting 4. (March 2020) in Barcelona at the Fun for All Congress. Organiser: UAB.

Aim: project management and implementation, quality, dissemination, evaluation of the progress on the development of the training materials and assessment (IO3, IO4) and discussion of results of the consultation on trainnes┬┤ skills (IO4). Preparation of E5.

Meeting 5. (November 2020) in Turin at the Film Festival. Organiser: SUBTI.

Aim: project management and implementation, quality, dissemination, review of progress and results on IO3 and IO4, and development of IO5. Preparation of E6.

Meeting 6. (May/June 2021), place pending. Organiser: ZDF Digital.

Aim: project management and implementation, quality, dissemination, and sustainability of the project. Evaluation of the certification process (IO5).
